National Chamber of Attorneys-at-Law

Jakub Groszkowki, Deputy President of the Personal Data Protection Office and Włodzimierz Chróścik, President of the National Council of Attorneys-at-Law, signed an agreement on mutual cooperation.

On the basis of the signed document, both institutions will support each other in their efforts to promote and protect the values that are important to them, as well as participate in projects and undertake joint initiatives.

"The signing of the agreement is extremely important. In such a dynamically changing world, in which we are witnessing the creation of new legal regulations affecting the protection of personal data and the right to privacy, the Personal Data Protection Office intends to undertake activities with the National Chamber of Attorneys-at-Law, among others, aimed at creating coherent and well-thought-out regulations in the field of personal data protection," said Jakub Groszkowski, Deputy President of the Personal Data Protection Office.

"I believe that our cooperation agreement will contribute to deepening legal awareness of the principles of personal data protection not only among members of the self-government of attorneys-at-law, but also among citizens. Closer cooperation with the Personal Data Protection Office will enable us to exchange valuable experience cooperate in the area of training and participate in the creation of coherent and well-thought-out regulations in the field of personal data protection in areas related to the exercise of the profession by attorneys-at-law and the functioning of self government. We are very pleased that the self-government of attorneys-at-law has gained such an important partner," said Włodzimierz Chróścik, President of the National Council of Attorneys-at-Law. 

"I am glad that the Personal Data Protection Oiffce has a partner in such a professional and modern local government as National Chamber of Attorneys-at-Law. The many years of experience of this institution allows us to maintain a fresh perspective on the technological challenges faced by Poles. – added Jakub Groszkowski, Deputy President of the Personal Data Protection Office.

Both parties to the agreement see the need to deepen legal awareness, exchange knowledge, information and experience, and improve skills in order to create and improve networks of professionals who deal with the protection of personal data.

The cooperation includes joint undertakings in the area of educational, promotional, publishing, as well as organisational activities related to, inter alia, conducting congresses, seminars, courses and trainings on issues related to the protection of personal data. The signed agreement also provides for mutual information in these areas.
